So easy to intimidate, so simple to control.
What will you do
When one of them grows greater?

Words spoken by both Gandalf and Saruman of what Frodo had become - a look at the Scouring of the Shire and the 'show down' that was not what Sharkey expected.

You have Grown

You are grown... I have no longer have any fear at all for any of you.

A bonfire burns in the town square,
Forbidden light hemmed with darkness,
A simple farmer warming there,
A quiet man, who knows the risk,
Knows that his enemy is watching.

The small ones, they tremble beneath your heavy hand.
You will show these farmers who's in charge...
How simple to intimidate those smaller than yourself -
What will you do
When one of them grows greater?

Stoop close down by the scarred round door,
And listen to the darkness filled with voices.
But dark has never been voiceless for you;
You speak and it is done.

One small halfling stood by this very fire,
Took up a burden, accepted a path;
Sent wandering afar, a country-fool's journey.
Curse the fates that helped him, to your bitter end!
You will twist his small home, destroy it with your hands.

The dead flowers crumble beneath your heavy boots.
This simple, small peasantry with so little wisdom;
So easy to intimidate, so simple to control.
What will you do
When one of them grows greater?

Pity him
for he has fallen,

Forgiveness unsought.

He was once great,
of a noble kind...

Wisdom unsearchable.

I would have him find
his healing -

Compassion unwanted.

No, he should not be slain.
Fallen, fallen...
And his cure is far beyond us
But I would have him spared,

Hoping forever.

That he may find it.

You have grown, Halfling, you have grown indeed.
Cover me over with the gravecloth not your making;
You have robbed me of sweetness.
Health and long life:
You shall have neither.

To have it end here,
of all places.
To fall so far,
so very far...

"This humble parlour has known two wizards, Sam -
Two of the Great have supped in its light
To such glory and such sorrow,
To such ends, who could have imagined?"

Samwise looks upon him but offers no answer.
The clear eyes burn bright with spirit, undimmed
By the wounded body.
To such glory and such sorrow,
To such ends, who could have imagined?
