A/N:
This rather odd story is the result of a holiday challenge at dw_straybunnies, as I thought it would be rather fun to see how many of the 12 prompts I could shoehorn into one tale.  This included Ace with a girl (in this case, Rani), vampires, evil giraffes, something about Welsh myths, Eleven being threatened by Care Bears, Sarah Jane and the Doctor with an octopus in the TARDIS bathtub, Two with Martha, Evelyn Smythe, Six meeting Rani, the Meddling Monk, Frobisher and it being set in an ancient Earth civilization, in this case Egypt.  Oy.  A couple of these are mere cameos, but they’re all in there.  Really.

Title: The Giraffe Convolution of Doom
Wordcount: 6,619
Characters: Two, Four, Six, Seven, Ace, Evelyn Smythe, Rani Chandra, the Meddling Monk, Frobisher, Jamie and Sarah Jane with a cameo by Eleven.
Summary: There are vampire giraffes reported at the London Zoo. The Doctor must do something about that, seeing as he’s been there before.

All 6 short chapters under the cut, or you may read it at TeaspoonFanfiction.net or AO3.

I seem to be on a roll... either that or this is all my Muse can handle at the moment. Three more, one for each of my favorites again:

Title: Definitely the Water
Characters: Vicki, One
Summary: Oh yes, that’s it, you know what Romans were like. (Prompt 'twitterpated')
They seemed so sensible... )
--
Title: Face It
Characters: Two, Jamie
Summary: It's not something he'd ever wanted to practice.
(reference to the 'other Jamie' of The Mind Robber, prompt 'fairy tale')

How could y' do this to me? )
--

Title: Priorities
Characters: Three, the Master
Summary: Even in times of danger, he remembered what was truly important. (prompt 'steam')
Your face gives you away... )

Plugging along through longer WIPs I found a need to finish *something* hence a set of three drabbles to touch base with my neglected friend [livejournal.com profile] dw100.

First, my favorite of the batch:
Title: Hold Me
Characters: Ian, Barbara
Wordcount: 100
Summary: Just making their way through this adventure together, prompt 'tremor'.

Hold Me )

A bit of humor -
Title: Next Time Just Order a Cake
Characters: Two, Jamie and Zoe
Wordcount: 100
Summary: These look a little too familiar. (Reference to ‘The Seeds of Death’, prompt bloom)

Oh dear... )
And finally, a tiny bit that wants to turn into a tale but I'm tamping it down.
Title: Nearly Sweet as Water
Characters: Three and Jo
Wordcount: 100
Summary: Sheltered from more than the sun.
A/N: A brushing of Three-Jo fluff for starflower, prompt cool.

It was a strange thing... )

Another for the "It will Come for your Children" series - I always favored the idea that after Season 6B the Doctor would have dropped Jamie off someplace safe, like at Victoria's house. ;-)

Appearance’s Sake

“What d’ye mean y’ saw a great blue box?” Jamie asked his son. The lad was nearly eye-to-eye with him but his imagination ran even higher.

“Just like in your stories!” the boy insisted.

“Did anyone come out of it?”

“Aye, a tall, strapping man. He said he wanted me t’ go with him.”

“Tall? Not a wee chappie, yea high?” Jamie measured with his hand, his brow furrowed.

“No. Then Mum said I wasn’t t’ go and chased him off with a hat-pin!”

Jamie nodded. Obviously an imposter, and Victoria always did have fine lot of common sense.

D'ye think he'd mind if I jus' pried this wee bit off to take a look?

Title: Two Scots and a TARDIS
Characters: Jamie, Montgomery Scott
Wordcount: 974
Summary: Jamie and Scotty tour the TARDIS while waiting for a landing party to return.

A/N: A little crossover with the original Star Trek series, just for the fun of bringing two well-loved Scots together in the same place.

This is a right bonnie ship, laddie. )

It's what you might call 'cosmopolitan' but only in a limited way, since most of the cosmos isn't really represented, but for Earth it's quite nice, yes, quite nice.

Title: Reciprocal Quandaries
Characters: Two, Jamie, Polly, Ben
Wordcount: 33,161 in 13 chapters
Summary: Two, Ben, Polly and Jamie pause for a bit of restful holiday at the 1900 Paris Exposition - or so they wished.

A/N: Originally written for the tardis_gen ficathon here on LJ to fulfill a prompt by [livejournal.com profile] wishfulaces, this might be termed a 'straight-up historical' - for in spite of it being in Two's 'monster-ful' era this tale features a bit of intrigue at the 1900 Paris Exposition in which monsters might be noted only by their absence. Of course, who needs things like that when you have good old-fashioned human nature to deal with?

The one caveat here is the reader must be prepared to swallow a large coincidence - but probably not much larger than others we've seen (ala Black Orchid, Enemy of the World, etc.).

This took quite a lot of historical research though only a fraction of it is shown in the story, but I enjoy that sort of thing. As to the featured inventors: Rudolf Diesel is pretty much as he was, Hubert Booth has been aged about thirty years, allowed a better exhibition slot and given a granddaughter.

A TARDIS! Let me in! Please, I beg you for the love of God, hide me!

Title: Unnecessary Vector
Characters: Two, Jamie, Victoria, the Meddling Monk
Wordcount: 10,386 in five chapters
Summary: Someone is meddling with Sir Isaac Newton's timeline - oh dear oh dear oh dear.

A/N: My subtitle for this story would be Circumductus - that is, to 'lead around' (with the implication of a shortcut or a trick). It seemed fitting to their unwelcome guest, but too 'obscure' for a good title itself. Still...there you are.

Gone for vital equipment?

Title: Vital Equipment
Characters: Two, Jamie, Victoria, the Brigadier
Wordcount: 724
Summary: Lethbridge-Stewart learns some things are just more vital than others, a vignette set sometime during 'Web of Fear'.

What do you mean, you've lost them? )

She's stuck together with bubblegum and rubberbands...among other things.

Title: Parts
Characters: Doctors One through Seven with assorted companions
Wordcount: 5,051 in seven chapters
Summary: It's a wonder the TARDIS was still holding together after all this time - of course, she'd had plenty of creative repairs. First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Doctors with companions, but not all at the same time.

"Aaaiiiiieeeee!" screamed Susan and Victoria in unison

Title: Scream
Characters: Two, Jamie, Victoria, Susan, David
Wordcount: 1,736
Summary: The night was dark and still....but not for long.

A/N: A humorous look at the noise factor in some of the early Doctor's companions (and relatives) - and yes, I admit I was a bit mean to Susan here. ;-)

Oh, aye. I'm sure there's a loose connection. )

Zoe wants a pet... Quark.

Title: Just a Little One
Characters: Two, Jamie, Zoe
Wordcount: 1,986
Summary: Zoe wants a pet.

A/N: A bit of humorous AU for 'The Dominators' that grew out of my family's own repeated exclamations of how adorably cute the Quarks were and how they wished they could have one.

Shall we de-stroy? )

Shoehorning them in

Title: Titles in a Box
Characters: Doctors One through Seven plus Nine with assorted companions
Wordcount: 1200 plus titles and commentary.
Summary: A collection in which all of the titles from the various Doctor's eras are gathered, stuffed or wrangled with varying intelligibilty into drabbles.

A/N: This was a self-challenge to see if I could wrangle all of the titles of each Doctor's era into drabble form and still (sort of kind of) make some sense. Some of them - such as Four most notably - needed more than one drabble to pull it off. I allowed for one "wildcard" leftover word that then became the title for each one.
